as RLG Goes into Administration

Sutton Council has confirmed that the independent cinema and community arts venue, Throwley Yard, on Sutton High Street will close on Sunday, 9 November 2025. 

The closure comes after the cinema’s operator Preston Benson of the Really Local Group, informed the Council that it was going into administration. Staff who work for the cinema have been informed. 

The Council, who own the building, is now seeking to find a new tenant to take over the premises with an announcement expected to be made in the coming weeks.
