Disappointing to see in Wallington.

Sutton Parks will have it repaired by tomorrow, but this really shouldn’t keep happening.

Vandalising public property is wrong on many levels. The fence is there for safety reasons. The pond is currently empty, and without fencing, there is a real risk that children or animals could fall in and be seriously hurt.

Previously, vandalism also resulted in fish being killed, and the remaining fish had to be removed. That’s damage to wildlife, not just infrastructure.

This space belongs to the whole community. If you see vandalism taking place, please report it. Let’s look after our shared spaces and keep them safe for everyone.
